T’NT Barbo's Tomato Sauce CORE
6 lg. tomatoes, quartered, set aside 1 tbs. extra virgin olive oil 1 small or 1/2 med. onion, diced 1 tbs. minced fresh garlic dash of dried basil 1 pkg. Splenda black pepper and salt to taste Get oil hot in non-stick skillet. Add onion, garlic and sauté until onion begins to clear. Throw in the tomatoes and the seasonings. Cook, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Off heat. Take out the skins, which just pop off the tomatoes. Eat over any kind of pasta or whatever you like tomato sauce with.
