Meatloaf for the BBQ Makes 8 large patties 1 lb. ground turkey 2 lbs. lean ground sirloin of beef 1 c. dry oatmeal In the food processor place the following ingredients: 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix 2 eggs 1 c. catsup (I use low carb) 3 large garlic cloves ½ - 1 large red bell pepper, cut into quarters 1 tsp. black pepper Blend until you have a smooth liquid. Pour this over your meatloaf mixture. Mix well and form 8 large loaf shaped patties. Pam spray one side of patties to keep from sticking. BBQ on low, using lid for smoking, but keep your eye on the patties so that they don’t burn. Turn and Pam spray the other side of patties. We like ours pink inside.
We wrapped these well and froze them. They will make great burgers or whatever. If you are going to freeze them, I would suggest under cooking them a bit.
