Betty's Low Carb Ketchup
12 ounces tomato paste
1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup Brown Sugar Twin
1/2 cup Splenda
dash hot pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
I mixed it all up with a whisk. Add water last, and you can make it the thickness you
enjoy. I don't have a clue as to the carbs, so if someone wants to run it through Master
Cook, be my guest. Enjoy! btw, the orginal recipe for ketchup came off a site devoted
to ketchup found using Yahoo. The recipe says that it came from a 1913 book. I didn't
have fresh tomatoes, but I converted it as best I could. I think the product really tastes
good.
Count for entire recipe : 110.1 carbs minus 17.3 grams fiber= 92.8 carbs
If I figured out the amount in tablespoons correctly I think it is 36 so the carbs per T :3.1carbs minus 0.5 gr.fiber= 2.6 carbs
