HEARTY WHOLE WHEAT BRAN MUFFINS*****
2 Cups wheat bran 1 1/2 Cups whole wheat flour 1/4 Cup packed brown sugar 1 Tsp baking soda 1/2 Tsp salt 1 1/2 Cups 1% milk 1 Large egg 1 Large egg white 1/4 Cup canola oil 1/2 Cup chopped dates -- or currants
Mix dry ingredients until well blended. Make a well in the center and add the blended liquid ingredients Mix long enough to moisten and spoon into muffin pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes 12 muffins @ 3 Points each {169.7 calories, 6 grams fat, 6.7 grams fiber{4 gram cap for WW}
