2 C all Purpose Flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 C cold shortening 3/4 C buttermilk
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in i shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Ad buttermilk: stir just until the dought clings together. On a floured surface, knead dough gently, about 10-12 strokes. Roll into 1/2 " thickness; cut with a 2 " round biscuit cutter. Place on a baking sheet coated with pam cook spray. Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until slightly browned. Yield 20 biscuits
