Quick Refrigerator Sweet Pickles Recipe By : Carol Williams Serving Size : 24 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Condiments And Sauces Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 5 cups cucumbers -- thinly sliced 2 cloves garlic -- halved 2 cups water 1 teaspoon mustard seed 1 teaspoon celery seed 1 teaspoon ground turmeric 2 cups onion -- sliced thin 2 cups vinegar 1 1/2 cups Splenda Sweetener -Place cucumbers,& garlic in a glass bowl. -Combine water spices in a medium saucepan, bring to boiling. -Add onions & cook 2 minutes. -Add vinegar; bring just to boiling. -Remove from heat; stir in Splenda. -Pour liquid over cucumbers; cool. -Cover & chill at least 24 hours before serving. -Store in fridge up to two weeks. -Recipe may be halved. -Makes about 6 cups. -***I think they will last in the fridge longer than 2 weeks as the vinegar acts as a preservative. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : 24 servings{6 cups}@ 3.4 carbs per 1/4 cup per serving. 0.3 grams fiber per serving has been taken off
